Everyone has a story...you just to have to find the right one to connect.

Life interspersed with changing locations brought me to value human relations and view human behavior in singularity and in relation to each other quite differently. I am fascinated with the dichotomies it presents. This makes me want to bring out the competing forces of opposites in my own way, on my blank canvases making it my emotional response of individuality to such surroundings and ideas. My abstract works are a representational outcome of such duplexities.

I have always believed in the power of stories. So, whether it is building tales of colorful dreamlands of unicorns and superheroes for our children or to narrating realistic recitals of life experiences, death and everything in between, stories have always had the muscle to transform, build and influence lives. Therefore, storytelling becomes an extremely potent tool in our hands.

In this ever-changing global artistic landscape where no technique is new, or no genre has been left untapped, or no medium left unexplored and no style left adopted, the only way left for people to remember you, is by making them "feel" what you want to narrate through your visual artistry.

Through Pendi, I present to you my Black & White and Gold Series which brings out this narrative through minimal use of opposite colour palette and suggestive titles to draw out your own interpretation of the abstraction in front of you. I am hoping to connect with you at a universal level where we realize that we all are not so different as we may like to believe we are.

BIOGRAPHY

Trisha Dullu is a self-taught visual artist focusing on abstracts and landscape paintings. Her forte is Acrylics with an inclination towards heavy use of experimental mixed mediums. She has cradled this inherent flair for everything artistic ever since she was a child. Having an Honors degree in Economics and later a post-graduate degree in Masters in Business Administration, her career choices did not reflect this aptitude. She worked for various multinationals over a span of 12 years, heading a Branch of a leading international bank as her last position. She gave up her corporate career to bring up her two daughters. Giving herself 10 years in this role, she finally picks up the threads of her passion which throb in the entire fiber of her being. Hence, began her journey as a serious Artist in 2016 with the esteemed Sapumal Foundation in Colombo. It was not until 2020 that she felt confident of her self-taught ways to showcase her work in her first exhibit. She is an Indian born in 1976 in Assam and currently resides in the beautiful tropical island of Sri Lanka.
